Downtown Talkeetna Cabin! Susitna Cabin

The place was really cute. The bed was real comfortable, plus the cabin itself is adorable. Location is close to downtown and close to a bunch of great restaurants. We were able to see clear stars and even some auroras.

The main downside is the check in. I asked if I can arrive early, the host replied yes several weeks ago, telling us the earliest we can arrive is 12:45pm. I appreciated the accommodation, and I arrived at 12:45pm. Upon arrival, I was unable to find the unit, like some others mentioned. There is no sign, and it was really confusing if we arrived at the right place. I contact the host, no reply. The number attached to the place does not even go through. The door cannot be locked from outside. The property was also not cleaned. We left for lunch, about two hours. When we come back, someone has obviously came into the property, cleaned the place, and left. Our door can now be locked. Our stuff was untouched, but it was really concerning and uncomfortable. Upon writing this review, which is after we left the property, we receive no reply from the host. I would expect a better experience for how much money we spent.

No WiFi and cleaning fee excessive

Location, clean, quiet, had everything we needed. Especially washer and dryer.

Fire alarm was chirping in drawer and no curtain on the door window so I made my own with towel and knives. Sharing an example that might be helpful if a rod and curtain.

When we got there the unit was changed. Bathroom rug was rolled up and soaking wet.

We liked the location. The cabin was cute and cozy. The beds were comfortable.

There was no house number to find the place. No directions were communicated for check-in or check-out. There was mold by the shower in the bathroom and by the kitchen table in the seam in the wall. It was cold in there, and we finally figured out how to use the heater. The bathroom mat was wet from the previous person. There were no working fire alarms (the batteries were taken out), which is a safety concern. We wouldn't stay here again. Talkeetna is a fun town with lots of good food.
