Belajar Bali Boutique Hotel and Retreat

I have to express my disappointment with how the hotel manage the non supply of electricity and water happened on 1st October during the second day of my stay. The reason I choose to stay here because of the reviews, facilities and location of this villa. I always pursue high quality and I do not mind to pay for the experience. However, the way the hotel handle this situation was very lack off, Firstly, when I came back from outside around 1pm, no staff inform me regarding the non- power and water supply , until I had to go to ask them why is my AC not working in the room. They told me because of the government’s construction however I think they should inform the guest earlier and also let us know so I could shower or be prepared earlier for my photo shooting session in the late afternoon. I asked them if I could use the spa under the hotel management to shower and get ready. They agreed. The staff escort me to the spa , however when I ask the staff at the spa if I could stow my item in the locker, she said “oh it’s upstairs” and do not attend to my need as she walked away. And I was not even offer to have a slipper at the spa, i was bare feet. They offered me to use the public/open bathroom / toilet to get ready where anyone can come in and also gents, workers. I feel very uncomfortable and frustrated at that time. All I wanted was to be able to stay in my room, shower and do my make up get ready with a nice clean private environment. I know unexpected circumstances does happened however this is a very uncomfortable experience. I believe they could inform me earlier about the whole situation. Also, isn’t necessary the hotel to be prepared with a back up supply or generator for incident like this. Especially a 4 star hotel. And if it’s as what they explained is because of government regulations, why is the other villa around and also the spa electric and water supply is working? So they already knew it earlier but just did not inform the guests.

The staff were always very lovely and helpful. The property is a sort of villa/hotel hybrid which is a brilliant concept. You have the privacy of your own hotel room but a communal kitchen, lounge, pool area that feels like you are staying at a villa. And this creates a very nice atmosphere. The beds are really comfy, I slept like a baby!!
