"Problematic check-in: they tried to swap apartments, and dispute the booking conditions"

On the day of arrival, I messaged to clarify the check-in procedure. Contrary to the information provided during booking (which stated the host would provide instructions), I was redirected to a colleague. As a result, I had to communicate with two different people. The check-in instructions I received contained a different address than the one listed in the advertisement. When I pointed out this error, the host informed me that they had two apartments listed on Booking.com and insisted I check into the apartment that was "only a 2-minute walk" from the one I originally booked. This contradicted the booking information: the listing contained no information about a second apartment, and all the photos were of the specific apartment I had booked. The host began to argue, claiming that I had misunderstood something and that I should check into the other apartment. Only after providing all the evidence and insisting on adherence to the terms of the listing did they send me instructions for checking into the apartment I had originally selected. Furthermore, when I informed them of my arrival at the agreed-upon time, I was told that the official check-in time was 3:00 PM, and that this was the time that had been confirmed to me. This also contradicted the booking. I provided screenshots confirming that check-in was from 2:00 PM and that the host had confirmed this time. However, the host again argued, refusing to acknowledge the obvious facts. I was only able to check in 15 minutes later, after the cleaning was finished. All these problems and arguments, the need to prove my case – all just to check into an apartment that I had booked and paid for in advance. This kind of treatment of customers is unacceptable. Although the apartment itself was comfortable, this did not compensate for the negative check-in experience.
