Sea Chest, Salcombe Waterside Apartment

The property itself is lovely and was a nice place to stay

Unfortunately it is directly opposite a pub which stays open until 12pm every night, the only one in Salcombe, which means everyone heads there when the pubs close and often has people hanging around longer. One night people sat in the beer garden until 4am which makes it impossible to get a good night sleep or have any windows open when it’s hot. A real shame as a lovely apartment but sadly the noise means it’s not somewhere I’d want to book again, especially as it isn’t cheap

The property was a few steps from the harbour and central. Pub directly opposite which did good food. Lovely welcome pack on arrival of cheese, chutney, bread and wine. It was beautifully decorated with lots of local art/ toiletries and perfect for our group of six. Lots of utensils and equipment for cooking when we ate in. Very comfortable for a relaxing evening in. We were very lucky as the weather was beautiful which made the stay perfect.

We loved the property. A couple of minor things such as no hand wash in one bathroom, we had to buy toilet rolls, the fan in one bedroom didn’t work which was a shame as it was so hot! There were 2 plugs that did not work in the kitchen but plenty of others to use. The apartment is directly opposite a pub which could be noisy at night/ early morning but that didn’t really bother us.
