Dora's Comfortable Homestay in Hamilton

The location was peaceful, beautiful flowers outside the house, friendly hosts. Though there were children the quiet hours were respected and I did sleep soundly from 10p onward. I appreciated the opportunity to stay.

I didn't read the description well and didn't realize I would be staying in a family's home. They were very friendly but for me it felt a little strange to be in someone's kitchen- I felt I was intruding. I think their hosting setup would be better for a boarder, not someone staying a night or two when passing through town.

The room was private and had its own bathroom, kettle, toaster. It was as comfortable as a hotel room and half the price. The gentleman carried my suitcase to the car when I left. There was a lazy boy chair and a desk with an office chair. Plenty of power points. A firm but comfortable mattress.

Perfect for our needs, breaking our trip between Waitomo glow worm caves and the next day onto Hobbiton/Rotorua. Private bathroom was great, including shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. It's not fancy but has everything you could need including a TV (which we didn't actually end up using as we went to sleep) - certainly a nicer option than a hostel for a couple travelling together. The bed is ok in terms of comfort - certainly had a solid sleep. Definitely value for money. Parking is easy (on driveway), and it was a short drive to town. Would stay again if we were doing a similar trip. Thanks for having us!

Such a lovely house and really nice room! I was sick so I pretty much just arrived and went to bed but it was the perfect place to rest and recover. I loved that the bed had a heated blanket and they left out a room heater too. It was such a comfortable stay and I would definitely return! Thank you Cherry!
