"Disappointing"

4.0

Location in theory is good, but windows are single-glazed and cheaply repaired so noise will filter in. The kitchen was well equipped.

When you come in, the entrance hallway is just rubbish bins. There is no clear signage for which flat is flat B (there isn't even a letter B on the door). The doors are all v.v.heavy and the door stops provided don't fit well. The doors are not the fault of the flat but make the place not great for those with younger children - the doors can be dangerous as they can swing shut very quickly and are heavy. The windows are dreadfully sealed and repaired - just painted over but not tightly fitted, most of the latches wont shut when closed. None of them are sealed properly so all the noise comes in. If you have a lot of heavy bags, there are a fair amount of steps to get to the flat. While not the fault of the manager - there was a fun fair at the time, it was unbearably noisy. They did little to accommodate - there was another flat available albeit bigger. But told we couldn't go there because it was much more expensive than what we paid. No options to pay the difference, no discussion. Without the fair it would be bearable but would not stay again with a family. In the end left to go stay somewhere else.

"Central but noisy"

7.0

Finishing of apartment was good - great kitchen with good quality applicants and towels were nicely laundered. Location is very central.

As we had warm weather we wanted to sleep with windows open but as the apartment is so close to the church the bells (which chimed all night!), the street noise and seagulls meant we didn’t sleep! The TV reception for live tv didn’t work after 9pm so we couldn’t watch the Olympics in the evenings. The flooring was quite creaky and noisy too.
