Self Contained Studio Near Windsor Attractions!

This property was hard to find and very poor. It smelled and had no towel, no TV, no closet, stains on the ceiling, and was a long way from Windsor city center to walk. I believe it was over a mile to walk when the website said 0.57 miles. I left after the first night.

The room was lovely - big, bright and airy - and the beds were really comfy. However, some of the fittings were looking rather tired (torn curtains, flaking paintwork) and there were missing skirting boards. We also never found the switch for the lights in the bathroom! The cleaning wasn't very thorough - the inside of the fridge was dirty/stained and the drawers of the bathroom cabinet were awful. It was located in a nice area, which felt very safe and parking was easy. It's about a 25 minute walk into the centre of Windsor, although there is a convenience store a few minutes up the road, and a pub a 5-minute walk the other way, if you don't want to go into the town centre. The kitchen facilities are basic but fine if you just want to make drinks and heat up ready meals. Communication with the owner wasn't great - the property is actually listed by a third party so if you message via the website, you get bounced between them and the owner who wasn't very responsive. We had to ask several times for the key safe code to be sent over, which was a bit disconcerting given how rife accommodation scams are nowadays. With a bit of financial input and attention to detail, this could be a really lovely place to stay, but at the moment some things are letting it down.

The location and the fact it was self contained within a house that was letting rooms. The host once we got there was helpful.

The pre arrival information didn’t come. it took several calls and being asked to send a photo ID to even get partial info about address and key location. The apartment was newly refurbished but had an unfinished feel, missing skirting boards, no light switch for the bathroom overhead lights, some minor touches that would have been helpful like a tea towel and tray for cups ect. When it is finally sorted it will be fine

Great location, on the heathrow flight path which we knew, easy parking, and good comms.
