Traditional cottage, Carraroe, Connemara Galway

Isolated and wild, authentic Irish sea cottage. I felt like I had stepped back in time. We even tried our hand at making a peat fire.

The cottage is very isolated so make sure you have everything you need...restaurants and shops are not very close and shut early. I felt like the cottage had just been vacated by others and there were a few cleanliness and housekeeping issues.

Wonderful place to be... We were catapulted back in time with modern comfort. Like we hoped.

Bei Ankunft nicht gereinigt wie z. B.: dreckiges Geschirr, keine sauberen Handtücher hergerichtet, staubig, Waschmaschine und Trockner voll. Generell fühlte sich die ganze Unterkunft an, als ob sie gerade erst verlassen wurde. Es gab auch praktisch keinen Stauraum, weil alles mit privaten Gegenständen angefüllt war. Gefährliche Stufen bei den Türen - Stolpergefahr.

Quirky old cottage, good location very warm.

Some comfier seating would be good (fine for a couple, but there was 3 of us) TV would have been nice.

Perfect place to stay to visit Connemara. Cosy with modern touches, stunning location, friendly host. Great value for the location and space. Would love to go back for longer.

Great location near the sea. Comfy beds. Charming building with its traditional architecture. Would be cozy in cooler weather. Plenty of pots and pans. Owner sent a great list of instructions and suggestions for trips from the property. Found 2 beach towels in a basket that we found to be very useful.

Felt like people had packed up and left right before we arrived. Laundry was still in the washer, and a damp towel was draped over the bathtub. Lots of food on the counter which was at first fun to look through until we saw the moldy jam and then found an entire cupboard full of food and realized it was not the communal stuff left for people who rent out the property.
