Unfortunately there was some building works nearby that slightly spoilt the peaceful atmosphere.
GBGBBeautiful setting in a beautiful village. The communication we received from the host was very clear. You have everything you need for your stay in the cottage. On our first night after a long day of travelling we just got a meal deal from Sainsbury’s in Oxford and chilled out in the cottage. It was very relaxing. There is a very good co-op in the village that we used a couple of times. There are some very nice circular walks starting from the village. We completed the 5 mile Charlbury to Finstock and back route. At the half way mark there is a very nice pub in Finstock called the plough. There are frequent trains into Oxford taking about 16mins from Charlbury and running late into the night. We were attending a Billy ocean concert at the new theatre Oxford and caught a train back no problem. Charlbury is a very nice village with pubs, shops, hairdressers etc. I would definitely stay again.
Perhaps a smart tv so the guest can login into their own Netflix account etc. the kitchen sink tap needs tightened. These are minor complaints and wouldn’t stop me from staying again.

GBGood, key safe check-in. Helena and Martin were very welcoming but never intrusive. Comfortable cottage with lovely thick towels and plenty to spare. Plentiful toiletries and powerful shower with good hot water supply. Very comfortable bed. Cottage set in beautiful garden with it's own terrace. Red Kites flying overhead every day! Deli just 50yds away for morning baguettes and other food supplies. Co-op 5 minutes walk away. Very expensive pubs in the village.
GBVery cosy and comfortable, close to everything needed. The weather was poor which was a perfect excuse to relax even more.

NZPeace and quiet, tranquil village with 3 pubs - real ale heaven and friendly people in Rose & Crown. Lots of nice places to eat (Chloe's Thurs and Fri only). Cottage very comfy, super bed.
Not much to do on rainy day. We didn't have a car and public transport very sparse to other villages.
AUThe position of the cottage in the village was ideal. The cottage was beautifully furnished and very comfortable.
