"Lovely cottage in a quiet rural setting"

9.0

Spacious and well equiped cottage which was a 'home from home' for our short break. Host supplied a car charging point so we could top up our PHEV overnight for a 'fair' fee...

Had not realised the cottage had 2 WC's but only one shared showeroom attached to one of the 2 bedrooms

"Highly recommended; pleasant rural stay"

10.0

Perfect, quiet rural location but very close to M40 access. Walking access to the country park and lovely views out to the hills from the lounge with binoculars and a bird watching book provided. The front fountain feature and alpacas were extra features. There are a selection of books provided and a useful OS map too. The kitchen is well equipped; the whole property was very clean. Extra parking on request if required. It looked like electric charging facilities were available. The heating kept us cosy, easy thermostat adjustment and the addition of a log fire ( logs provided) ,which we didn’t use, would be lovely in winter. Towels and flannels are provided. The instructions for resetting the shower’s water flow was helpful. There were generous supplies of toilet role! Thank you for the complimentary eggs, milk, sugar and coffee pods. Several cafetières for your own coffee supplies were provided too. The outdoor seating was a useful addition. Good communication prior to arrival and coded key pad release made check in easy. Thank you Jerry for making our stay successful. We would thoroughly recommend. A tasteful conversion. Something to note: The shower is en suite off the downstairs bedroom; a separate toilet is available off the main corridor The second room is in the eaves so head space is restricted; access would be more difficult for elderly guests due to the steep stairs.

Even better if: We attended a local wedding so a full length mirror would have been an advantage. The shower rail didn’t heat so we used the other radiators to dry the towels. Some of the information in the paper brochure was out of date so you need to refer to the online information instead. The only pressing issue we think would be to check the stability of the upstairs handrail which we were cautious about using. The extra metal grab handle on the wall was useful. The spring in the second sofa requires repair or replacement.

A beautifully appointed cottage in a tranquil location. The owners were lovely and recommended a local pub to eat. The food was great! We only stayed one night but would definitely consider going again for longer to explore the area further.

"We really enjoyed our overnight stay in your beautiful cottage."

10.0

We liked everything about it . We didn't use the kitchen apart from making tea and coffee but it was very equipped. We didn't use the shower either but it was very clean. The outlook was great , we really enjoyed watching the animals and birds.

Nothing all was good .

"Fantastic!"

9.0

The location is idyllic, and the cottage is in very good condition throughout.

I don't know if I misread any part of the description, so missed this. But it would have been helpful to know that the only bathroom is off of one of the bedrooms.
