The Legacy Hotel

The hotel located at the City proper, very accommodating staff and clean room all the amenities are in good condition. I enjoyed my stay great value for money.

The staff was extremely friendly, we really enjoyed our stay very much.

Single room was a little small, as was the bathroom. Dorm room was spacious.

The staff was ok.

The pool is near a party area, and there are parties until 10:00 pm. It's weird to use the pool during someone else's party. The jacuzzi didn't work. It was cold, only good for the pictures... I had to wait until the party ended to use it, and even after the staff said they turned on the heater and asked me to wait at least until 11 00 pm, it never got warm. I wasted my time. There were a lot of ants in the rooms. They were everywhere, even in my bed and on my pillow. I couldn't sleep well. It took them only five minutes to find my bottle of juice once opened, they were dozens on and in it. The wifi was very slow The rooms were very small. The breakfast was poor, not good, and the coffee was instant coffe to make yourself in a styrofoam cup. I paid 2,800 pesos for one night, and after complaining, the hotel only refunded 560 pesos. You can find better places for less than 1,500 pesos around there. The Legacy Hotel is not worth your time or money. Be careful of fake reviews. When I booked, it had a high rating, but there were only two reviews, and they didn't match my experience. Save your time and money, find another place to stay.

The Legacy is the perfect pocket of peace in a sometimes noisy city. The rooms are petite but they are clean and comfortable and the AC/inverter is a quiet champ that cools the room quickly. Free use of Netflix was a very nice surprise. The pool is beautiful and just the right size for a cooling dip to refresh yourself after being in the Tayabas heat. Poolside shower and washrooms/CRs are clean and well-maintained. Great location in town. There’s a great laundry around the corner and also Vercie’s Salon where I get my hair and beard trimmed. The market and Buddy’s restaurant are about a 5-minute walk. I felt safe at the Legacy. I think that’s something worth noting. Always someone at the front desk and the gates are locked at night. No one gets in unnoticed or unannounced. The staff is above and beyond wonderful. Friendly and helpful always. When our scheduled driver to Manila canceled at the last minute, the front desk staff found someone for us who could take us immediately to Manila. To me, that is above and beyond. Because they helped us out like that, there is absolutely no question where I’ll stay when I’m again in Tayabas: The Legacy.

The rooms and washrooms are small and some people may take issue with that; I do not. I was not in Tayabas to stay inside and watch Netflix all day. I was at The Legacy only to shower and sleep. The pool was a lovely bonus.
