Antico Borgo di Liteggio

Fabulous place full of character and absolutely spotless. Our lovely host couldn’t do enough for us. A delayed flight brought us there very late and it was no bother.

The view from the hotel, the breakfast was superb, the interior was excellent & the staff are so friendly and you can comfortably ask them what are your needs.

This is a very cute little village farm with donkeys, chickens, geese, cats and veggie patch, right next to an ancient ruined castle. The village is tiny so not much to see there. The BnB house is large with an open atrium and plenty of eclectic seating spaces. The large kitchen for self catering was appreciated. Prepackaged snacks and yoghurt were provided for breakfast but fortunately we had our own supply of food for something more substantial and healthy.

It is on a surprisingly busy little road and the road noise often woke us during the night, as did other guests in neighbouring room and when using the shared bathroom. Doors and locks were VERY loud. The hot water system needs attention as it takes 5min+ to get any heat. The front bedrooms have no views with fixed light curtains and no option to darken the room for later sleeping.

For us coming on the bike, the location was amazing. Spacious and quiet. Lovely people.

Comparing to the price you pay, not much bad things could be mentioned. Yeap, it's a bit cold inside in night, windows are directed to road and sound insulation is not the best. But for such price...

So lovely host! They helpd us a lot! They offerd us fruits ....

Beautiful, big domain.

There was a serious mold issue, which wasn't treated for a long while. Breakfast were some pre-wrapped items from the food store. (other B&B's had at least fresh bread) The host, despite trying her best, didn't speak anything else but Italian. The heating was disabled, but she had pre-heated the room with an electric heater. (which was nice) The bathroom however was as cold as ice :-).
