Orzu Guest House

I stayed for most of the day, but my train was leaving in the night so I didn't get the full nights experience. On arrival I was greeted and given a little information.

Once I had checked in and had some questions, I couldn't find anyone to help so really the staff were non existent. I thought the place looked quite sad and run down and I payed too much for the average standard

Ok on cleanliness and bed comfort. Location was fine. Was helpful in giving boiled water when we asked.

There was no curtain on main door, so very low on privacy. And the washroom door is right by the main door, so everything was visible from the house courtyard - which was very inconvenient. Noticed the host gave different breakfast to others foreigners while to us, he gave stale bread and fruits and also disappeared in between breakfast due to which we couldnt ask for anything more - bit rude! Biggest disappointment was - apparently Bukhara has no electricity from 9AM-5PM, which we got to know from a common water seller on the road, however our host did not mention this to us. This meant, we had to shower with cold water and get ready in the dark, while this could have been easily avoided and we could have gotten ready early, had to told us. Also meant no place to rest mid-day, so would suggest take a hotel. Room had other cupboards/ things kept. Also had 5 beds, out of which one was very poor condition, so total 4 beds only.

I went to Orzu guest hostel in october. The family is very nice as well as the breakfast, the hostel is well located and close to the main attractions

Very friendly family, always willing to help. Had free breakfast and I even got a surprise free dinner. They were worried I was cold and turned on the heater for me. They also helped me book a taxi late at night. Even though we did not speak the same language, everything worked out with Google translate. The room was large and had everything I needed. The hostel is located in a quiet alley, but very close to major sights.

Beds could have been a bit softer

Basic facilities in a good location. The owner and his family were very hospitable and accommodating and made the stay very comfortable.

No full length or big mirror in the room (only a small one in the bathroom) but when shared with the owner, he has promised to put that up as well as a small shelf in the shower area for keeping soap, shampoo etc in all the rooms.

What a lovely family owners of the place. Makes you feel welcome and even upgraded my room for free since it was already available. Good people - highly recommend :)

I don’t even know how to describe it... The hosts are very hospitable and friendly, they will immediately help you with everything you ask for. The guest house is located 1 minute from the old town, bazaar and other tourist places. Everything in the room was very clean. Breakfast is very tasty. As my sister said: I would like to live here!

Super guest house. Irgashev and his family treated us great and were very kind and helpful. The location is perfect, close to the attractions but calm and peaceful.
