Stay was spoilt as people shouting and swearing outside and banging on front door“let me in….let me in”. At 11pm and our room was directly above entrance!! I never normally complain but this was supposed to be a relaxing stay and unfortunately it was not, so was very disappointed as everything else was good….

GBHave stayed before under previous owners and loved our stay in every way, so decided to give it another go under new management. The lady that showed us to our room and subsequently served us some lovely drinks in the bar was welcoming and friendly. The room was as stated on website and of course the location is spot on but then we new that having stayed before. Alfie the dog was a bonus he was adorable.
There was no frills with the room, there was only 2 types of coffee for the machine 3 xcarmel and 1 x expresso a normal coffee would be preferable and if I was being picky not even a small packet of biscuits. The bathroom seemed a bit tired although clean. On leaving we left our keys on the bar and said goodbye to other owner Jack who is the chef in the kitchen and he barely acknowledged us despite us staying, drinking and eating in his pub. Customer care and appreciation goes a long way in the hospitality industry.
