Staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful The room was clean and very spacious I felt safe and comfortable here Free water

I'm a bit too tall for the blankets, which made sleeping less comfortable For light sleepers beware of proximity to mosque when there is call to prayer

Good location, owner very nice, affiliated laundry across the street (either a service or do it yourself)

It was quiet and great location and great value for money for a single room and feels very safe. The brochures on Penang were really good too

The blanket was a little bit small and I found the air con hard to get right temperature in the room either too cold or too hot

The hostel is clean and safe—two of the most important qualities for any traveler. The manager is also very kind and hospitable. Its location is excellent—just a short walk from the bus terminal and close to many popular tourist attractions. The common area is another big plus, providing a great space to relax and chat with other roommates. I also really appreciated the architectural style of the building.

Everything! Jean is the most amazing host. She was so helpful in finding vegetarian restaurants and planing our trip. The room and bathroom are very spacious and clean and it is in a very good location. We would definitely stay there again!

The location was walkable and it is a female only hostel i didn't like anything at this hostel and the Laundry across the street will never dry your cloths!!!!!

The owner Jean had a horrible attitude I felt insulted disrespected and harassed by her my entire 2 days she treated me badly as a Black female I felt like she didn't like me and wanted me to leave Jean has over 30 rules at this hostel shoes off before you enter the hostel I understand Asian countries has this requirement to remove your shoes but the floors in the hostel were extremely dirty and the older lady cooked everyday and left food everywhere on the floor the Asian lady maybe Jeans mother or family member who wore her slippers she walked outside with inside the hostel this lady was the only person who walked inside the hostel with her shoes on I had to wait 7 hours to enter the dorm room after I paid Jean my deposit I was asked several personal questions by Jean I felt were inappropriate anyone over 40 just to let you Jean told me she doesn't help anyone to bring their bags/luggage upstairs it's a lot of stairs with trash under the stairs so BEWARE I do not recommend this hostel it's dirty and Jean the owner has a horrible attitude I was treated badly lam a Black Female Jean also wanted me to read the rules to here I declined because I didn't think this was necessary the rules were posted everywhere in the hostel also inside the microwave looks disgusting it needs to be put in the trash I think it's a serious health concern regarding the microwave
