Luxury Beach Getaway@Coral Point

We arrived late in the evening. The unit was not cleaned properly. There were no lights when we arrived. We had to contact the host to reinstate the lights. The fridge defrosted and the floors got wet. Linen was left hanging on a clotheshorse on the balcony. We arrived late in the evening and cancelled in the morning. The host referred us to booking.com for a refund but when we did not receive the refund, we contacted the host again, who again placed the delay for the refund on booking.com. When confronted about the refund the host stated that they were relying on their cancellation policy. The cancellation policy is implemented for late cancellations but not for failure to provide quality services. Visitors are expected to pay the full amount to stay at the accomodation irrespective of the service and condition.

The view was absolutely gorgeous and having balcony access to it was amazing. Having all cleaning supplies on hand was great too and they were all in great condition. Loved the interior design and all the plants in the room that made it feel homely.

The location and the environment

The location is peaceful, the place is beautiful , however, it is not the cleanest; the floor had stains and strains of hair. The towels, rug and cushions were smelling so bad, as if they were not left to dry properly which made the whole place smell so bad. We even had to wash the towels ourselves so we can at least use towels that do not leave an awful smell on our bodies. The fleece was dirty with stains, we washed that too. The pillows were not comfortable, for a place that is supposed to be “luxury beach gateway” it gave nothing luxurious with poor quality bedding, pillows and towels, we were given 1 roll of toilet paper and were booked for 4 nights… Hopefully the this is taken as constructive criticism for other bookings.
