Wow, this place is something else. You basically have an entire rooftop at your disposal - which means you can choose your view! Want to look at the sea, Taormina, or Mount Etna? Take your pick. There's a separate kitchen equipped with everything you need (gas stove), two exits to the terrace (or even three, if you count the main door), and two separate rooms. Previous reviews mentioned there was no internet - well, now there is! Right below the house there's a great café where it's perfect to go early in the morning for a fresh croissant and a cappuccino. You can walk to the beach in about five minutes (to the public one - before it, there are beaches belonging to bars). You can take the red bus to visit Taormina (and hike in the mountains) and Savoca (where The Godfather was filmed). Oh, and the bus stop is very close to the house - it’s convenient for getting to the airport in Catania. In Naxos, having a terrace really makes a difference - it changes the whole experience.

The only downside is the fairly noisy road right below the house. And beyond it, there’s also a railway where freight trains pass during the night. But that’s the price of the great views - if you moved farther from the road, you wouldn’t see Etna as clearly.

An apartment in a small building on the roof of a multi-story tenement house is fantastic. The spacious terrace with a table and two sofas offers fantastic views, especially of Mount Etna. An evening wine with a view of the illuminated Taormina or Castelmola is a wonderful experience. The apartment is nice, decorated in really good taste. There is a bedroom and a living room with two comfortable beds. A big advantage is a separate kitchen, which is important in hot weather. The kitchen equipment is very good, although as usual in Italy there is no kettle. An espresso machine and an Italian coffee machine are available. A great solution is to have several doors opening onto the terrace surrounding the house, so there is plenty of air and there is no need to turn on the air conditioning in the bedroom, although the air conditioning worked perfectly. Spacious bathroom. The entire apartment is spotlessly clean. There is a bus stop approximately 100 m away, which also connects you to Catania Airport. The beach is also very close. Next to the rather expensive, paid beaches, there is also a small city beach where you can take two sun loungers and two umbrellas from the apartment. Driving towards the sea, ul. Via Zara, on Via Casearsa, you will find a small but very well-stocked Maxisconto supermarket. Nearby, along the seaside street, there are plenty of souvenir shops and pubs. I do not recommend renting a car in this location during the summer, as nearby parking lots are reserved for residents. There was a broken parking meter in the paid parking lot (EUR 15 per day), so it was better not to take the risk, and the free parking lot was far away. Finally, something about the hostess - she is a very nice, warm and very friendly person, always smiling and it is very easy to contact her because we can meet her at the bar on the ground floor of the building throughout the day. I highly recommend this apartment, it was a great place to relax.
