We loved Mambo Leo! Tatu was so lovely and it really felt like home. Our room was comfortable and clean - Tatu worked all day to keep the whole place spotless. We had stayed elsewhere in Paje before, and this was exponentially better for half the price. We loved staying in the village, it was quiet and felt more authentic, with access to tons of cheap, delicious local food. The wifi is also insanely fast!! This is the sweetest, homiest, quietest place in Paje!

Great budget accommodation, near all the little cafes, shops and beach. Clean sheets, big room, fan Loved having a little shared kitchen with kettle, fridge and gas cooker. Also very pleasant shaded seating in the garden. Tando (sp?), the young woman there to welcome guests was lovely.

Very hard to find. No signs at all. We had to ring for directions Note: it is the red roofed house just behind the big White House hotel. Don't let the messy, rubbish-strewn area put you off. Once you get inside it's fine

Absolutely amazing vibe, felt like part of the family from the moment I arrived. Extended my stay just because of how wonderfully helpful and friendly the staff were. I highly recommend this hostel, value for money, very clean, extremely welcoming, close to the beach. Met some amazing people from all over the world here.

The Hospitality of the workers !

It has no identification. It needs a sign post or labels near the premises

It feels like staying with family or friends in Paje. Sincere hosts in a secure central guesthouse. Strong fans in room. No mosquitos. Kitchen available. Private bathroom.

At 5am every morning, there is the Islamic call outside. You may get used to it & simply sleep through it eventually, but the first morning I was awake afterwards.

The manager arranged for the stay in another hotel.

They completely missed the meaning of *booking of a room*. We had booked our room quite in advance but when we reached there, the manager said that all the rooms were occupied and they were not “expecting us” as we had booked long ago. He said that a lot of tourists do advance booking and dont show up at the last moment. I understand that but they didnt even care to confirm from us regarding the same. The manager arranged for our stay in another hotel closer to the beach though. The location of the hotel is not updated on google maps. Its very confusing and if you follow google maps, you would end up at the wrong place.
