Foyers Bay Country House

Where do I begin. Chris and Elly were wonderful hosts. Friendly and helpful, they made us feel completely at home. The lovely old Victorian property is set in an idyllic location with beautiful mature trees and sweeping green lawns looking down to lovely views of Loch Ness. There is a comfortable lounge with licensed bar and the dining room is in the spacious conservatory where you can watch stunning wildlife outside (red squirrels, deer, pheasants endless bird varieties to name but a few) while Ellie cooks every meal fresh to order. Chris is a consummate host and Elly’s cooking is sublime (try the steak - it melts in your mouth). Breakfast is varied and first rate. The rooms are elegantly furnished, well equipped and very clean. We took our Labrador and he was made extremely welcome and he too had a sausage cooked to order for breakfast by Elly! There is a lovely walk immediately at the back of the property to the Falls of Foyers. It is also easy to walk down to the banks of Loch Ness. The property is within easy travelling distance of Fort Augustus and Inverness. If you want a true taste of the Highlands, I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Die Unterkunft liegt auf der nicht-touristischen Seite von Loch Ness. Über eine kleine Straße erreichbar und absolut fernab von Lärm und Streß. Zudem gibt es einen tollen Blick auf Loch Ness. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll hergerichtet und die Gastgeber geben sich alle Mühe die Gäste glücklich zu machen. Sehr gute Restaurants cam 15 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar.
