Riad Villa Amood

We stayed at Riad Villa Amood, and without a doubt, it was the best hotel we experienced in all of Morocco! The atmosphere is unique — a blend of comfort, style, and pure relaxation. From the very first moment, you feel at home. The service is simply outstanding. The owner and the staff is caring, attentive, and genuinely friendly. This level of hospitality makes you feel truly looked after. The room itself was excellent: a very comfortable bed, wonderful toiletries from the local brand Botanica Marrakech, and divine fragrances both in the room and throughout the hotel. The food was absolutely the best we had in Morocco. Every meal was delicious and prepared with love. We even stopped by once just for breakfast while driving near the riad next day, they welcomed us and offered breakfast free of charge — such a touching gesture! The outdoor pool was spotlessly clean and perfect for relaxing during the hot desert afternoons. For those traveling by car, parking is spacious, secure, and conveniently located right next to the hotel. If we could rate it higher than 10, we absolutely would. This place is a true oasis in the desert and comes with our highest recommendation. Our only regret was booking just one night. Next time we return to Morocco — and we surely will — we will stay here again, and nowhere else.

Everything at Riad Villa Amood was excellent. The Riad is beautiful, very calm and peaceful, the perfect place to relax. It was a pleasure meeting the two owners and the staff, everyone was super available, easy to communicate with and nice. The location is perfect, close enough to the dunes, but not in the middle of all the noisy touristy attractions - for us this is an absolute plus. We had dinner and breakfast at the Riad and everything, from the food to the service, couldn’t be better. We absolutely recommend this Riad, and we will choose it again should we come back to the Sahara desert.

A luxe fully air conditioned hotel at the edge of the desert. Mustapha and his wife were excellent hosts. They accommodated and arranged every request/excursion. While we stayed at the hotel to maximize comfort in the heat, they transported us to the camps for dinner and arranged a sunrise camel ride. Food was also great!

The Riad went beyond my expectations. We were greeted by Mustapha with a welcoming big smile and we were offered cold water and mint tea on arrival. Each of our rooms were beautifully appointed with ample toiletries and bottled water for our stay as well as a stocked mini fridge of complimentary soft drinks Breakfast was simple with typical Moroccan fair. Dinner was superb and was an influence of Spanish and Moroccan cuisine courtesy of the chef Barbara and co owner of the Riad. The pool area was so inviting and the water temperature was perfect. Mustapha also organised an amazing camel trek into the dunes for sunset.

Leaving the Riad

This is without a doubt the best accommodation in this area, maybe the whole country actually. The staff members are absolutely amazing and will do anything to make your stay unforgettable. The food might be the best we’ve had in Morocco. They made sure everything was gluten and dairy free to cater to my intolerances. We booked this super last minute (1 night in advance) but this was no problem at all for them. The rooms are clean and spacious and it smells really nice everywhere.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Merzouga! The ambiance was inviting and homey, the food delicious, and everything was impeccably clean. The staff were amazing, providing top-notch hospitality. I truly have nothing to complain about—highly recommend!
