2nd time staying at the property. Lovely relaxing stay, beautiful garden with woods for walking the dog. Have a reactive dog who appreciates the calm and quiet that this property brings. All you need is food, a good book and good company to enjoy your time here

Private, and lovely location for travelling about the west of Cornwall

Beautiful, tranquil place to be ~ host Lyndon was a pleasure to meet. This place was the highlight of my stay in Cornwall.

It was a central location for the places we wanted to visit, and the private garden was both beautiful and peaceful. The garden is perfect for those who just want a place to relax with a good book and unwind from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The host who checked us in was very personable.

1. The kitchen is tiny with virtually no counter space.) This would not be an issue if one were staying in an urban area with restaurants close by, but this property is down a long narrow one-lane road far from decent restaurants. 2. The sofa bed is not comfortable and the living space is tiny. In the write-up describing the property a sofa-sleeper is mentioned, but it’s the very last thing and we somehow missed it. The property should be listed at the top as a “tiny house” or “studio apartment” with the sofa bed near the top of the list of amenities. Given the very small studio apartment, it is necessary to turn the “sleeper” back into a “sofa” after you get up in the morning. This means stripping the bed each day, folding all the bedding up, placing it in the storage space under the sofa, and then doing everything in reverse each evening. Given the space limitations, it would be far more comfortable and convenient for guests if the room were equipped with a Murphy bed rather than a sofa-bed. 3. Last but not least was the lack of customer concern shown by Julia. Over the course of this particular month-long trip we stayed in at least ten different accommodations booked through Booking.com and other travel platforms. This was the second most expensive place we stayed. It was also the ONLY place that did not provide bath soap and shampoo for its guests. When we messaged Julia asking if she could provide some for us, she dismissed our request by saying that guests bring their own toiletries. We were there for two nights and miles from the closest village store, and she knew very well that it would be very difficult for us to procure bath soap or shampoo. A customer oriented host, being aware by now that some guests might expect to find bath soap and shampoo at the property, and being aware that the location made it virtually impossible for the guest to procure their own at short notice, would have had some tiny bottles of shampoo and bath soap on hand.

We got a personal tour of the most beautiful property from the host. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The depth and caring of the land shared touched our hearts.

Little far away from a town, but once we landed, we just stayed put. Arriving with more food would be smart.
