Il Castagno holiday home

The very friendly Filippo met us in the village and then showed us the parking place a few hundred meters down the street. We would suggest the place for people with no or just a bit mobility problems: there are also a few steps to the house and the last ones are quite steep (I managed, but some people might possibly not). Then we checked in and he showed us the apartment and gave us some instructions and well appreciated informations. We liked the place a lot - the view outside to the village and the sea and the sound of the nearby church and its bells in the morning was pure relaxation for us! The kitchen had what we needed and the shower was great aswell (there is even a washing machine), everything was clean and modern! The sofa-bed was comfy aswell and we had two really restful sleeps! The recommended fish-restaurant in Sori is worth to try, we loved the food there! My hubby and I felt in love with Liguria and really want to come back! That place is a strategic well place near Genova and Portofino Peninsula (walk to the lighthouse!) and it is quite and peaceful, that you think, that could be a nice place to live (with good knee conditions). Even if you come on the way to the ferries or to other wonderful regions around, that could be a place to stay a few nights and calm down! Spring time with all the oranges and lemons on the trees, and almond and cherry blossoms, Pines and Cypresses has a wonderful touch of feeling of a special southern place, like Goethe was writing about and people dream of in some times of Sehnsucht of bella Italia! A la prossima volta, Filippo! Ci piacerebbe tornare!!!

The kitchen is filled with needed utensils; everything was clean and new; great view from the windows; calm and quiet location; welcoming host.

After a week-long stay, I can only say that while the bed was a bit too soft, it left my back feeling slightly uncomfortable by the end.

Nice location, quite far from traffic and noise , nice Mountain View. Appartment has very nice look, convininent and fully equipped with kitchen staff. Filippo is very nice host.

Breath taking views, everything is VERY clean and new. In the kitchen you can find everything you need even a mixer. Nice lighting! Very happy about our stay! 😊

The apartment was amazing. The furniture is authentic, comfortable. Pillows are comfortable, new and clean sheet. The kitchenette is completely equipped with the everything necessary. The owner is very nice, responsive and friendly. He helped us operatively in a critical situation. Recommended a lot! 👍🏾

Modernised apartment with excellent facilities, all new,plenty of room, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom.

This apartment is in a fantastic location, with lots of beautiful scenery and hiking trails nearby. There are many other towns to explore in the area, only a short drive away (or hike!). Filippo was a very accommodating host with lots of knowledge on the area and was there to welcome and show us around when we arrived.

The bed was a bit too soft.
