No fire alarm downstairs -safety issue Stairs not wide enough to step on, had to go down them sideways, also too steep -safety issue 1 set of keys to whole property and you had to lock door from inside No keys to exit out of door downstairs had there been a fire, no way of getting out quickly. Heating just kept on going off and on and it was very cold Twin bedroom is not a twin bedroom. No gap in between twin beds so you have to climb down the bed to the end to get out of it., no other way of doing it. Downstairs bathroom noisy with a grinding noise when toilet flushed (not for long) but where my father and sister got up in the night 4 times between them, it therefore wakes you up everytime the toilet is flushed as it has a macerator pump. Plug not working in sink didn’t push down properly so couldn’t fill the sink up For 5 seconds in downstairs bathroom hot water tap was hot then turned cold and that was that!! Outside space not nice. I sent an email that night and phoned first thing in the morning to Suffolk stays with a further 3 phone calls. I found it rather strange that Suffolk stays would put a property on their website without even having gone to the property to check it out because when I mentioned the stairs how dangerous they were they didn’t know anything about it due to us not feeling safe at all being at this property, we left the next morning at 9:30 am. I finally got an answer today where they would refund 110 out of 270 I paid. They said that the problems could have been rectified had we got in touch with them but I did get in touch with them within the 24 hour stipulation so I have no idea why they are saying this. I’m not sure how a fire alarm could have been hard wired up in the bottom two bedrooms and to be quite frank it wasn’t up to me to point out safety issues when all that should have been in place before we arrived.
