Kas Athena Hotel

Location good. Close to shops/restaurants and just about far enough to sleep through a couple of noisy bars with loud music thanks to excellent double glazing & good, quiet air con (light sleepers might want ear plugs available from pharmacy at bottom of the hill and across the square)!

Friendly staff but breakfast service was a bit random- no one noticed if something was running out, or cleared away plates very quickly. Beds were VERY comfortable but let down by poor quality sheets and duvets too smaller for the size of the beds, or no duvet at all, only poor quality rough blankets with no top sheet in my friend case. One day no bath mat so walking carefully on wet , very slippery floors was interesting!

Everything inside was charming and stylish. Breakfasts were different every day with plenty of options.

Too noisy in the night (until 2am) because of the bars outside

The location was great, close enough to the port and all the restaurants and shops but not right in the middle of everything so a bit more relaxed. The room was also lovely and having free parking was really helpful.

The breakfast was ok but not amazing and the staff were a bit mixed in terms of service, often limited by their language skills.
