King Inas Palace

The location of the property is great! Very central to South Petherton. That’s about all.

The property was filthy, dirty/stained and broken furniture, kitchen was filthy (dirty crockery/glasses, washing machine, air fryer etc was disgusting). Leak on the floor to which we were told by the owners was ‘just a bit of water’. Generally a very dirty property, despite the owner saying the cleaners spent 20 hours there (see the photos). Bed linen was stained and completely wrinkled on arrival, when stripping the bedding back we found old/stained disgusting mattresses, broken beds and grime! Bedroom cupboards were messily filled to the brim with owners belonging! The bathrooms were no better, generally dirty with mouldy shower curtains galore. The living room had a broken sofa, with split cushion covers and food down the side of the cushions (see photos). All guests ended up bringing dining chairs into the living room. Hot tub was dirty on arrival, with dirt at the bottom and cloudy water! We were told to ‘just chuck some chlorine in if too many people go in’, safe to say this was not used! Garden was full of dog poo and found the owners cat locked in the shed ‘accidentally’. The owners had to come back to the property to change the linen to which the male owner was rude and intimidating to my family (including older relatives). Some of our party didn’t end up staying due to the horrible state of the place meaning we had to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. Had to fight for a partial refund to which I was asked not to post a negative review in exchange which I refused! This house is being used as a family home and is not up to the standards to rent it out, it’s filthy, run down and needs a lot of TLC before it’s rented out to people! The photos you see online are from when it was sold, not how it looks now.

We loved the house it was amazing the host Ben was great very helpful. Gave us a tour and showed us where everything was. Checked in with us to make sure all was good. The hotub was brilliant hot and ready to use. All facilities were great. The area was beautiful.

Each room is a testament to thoughtful design, but the fireplace truly stole the show—it's an absolute masterpiece that must be seen to be believed! Every bedroom was a sanctuary of comfort, equipped with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing stay. We felt at home while enjoying the luxurious touches that made our experience even more special. The gardens surrounding the property are simply amazing. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub, which was not only easy to use but also conveniently located. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The location is unbeatable! Nestled in the heart of South Petherton, King Ina’s Palace offers a rare combination of privacy and accessibility. We loved being just a minute's walk from the fantastic Brewers Arms pub and the delightful Holm restaurant. It made our dining experiences effortless and enjoyable. Overall, our stay in the vibrant village of South Petherton was a resounding success, all thanks to the incredible King Ina’s Palace. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories in this beautiful home. Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience!
