Lodge Cottage, Castleton

The location was great, the house was comfortable ,very clean and well equipped.

Really well maintained property with excellent facilities. Super location right in the heart of Castleton.

Very central in castleton. The cottage is very beautiful and plenty of room for everyone

The only slight downside was that the downstairs bedrooms would have benefitted from a toilet/bathroom nearer only because members of our party required a bathroom near for the nightly trips but this wouldn’t stop us from booking this property again

From our initial booking through to our final departure Lucy and colleagues were always to hand. Their app was also a valuable resource. Lodge cottage was impeccably clean, very visitor friendly and suited our requirements to perfection thank you.

We had no dislikes

The location was perfect. The cottage has been sympathetically restored with extremely tasteful décor befitting of the of building. This was quality throughout. The host has thought of everything to make the stay homely and above all enjoyable. The cottage is in a beautiful village with a fabulous selection of places to dine or enjoy a social drink.

Can’t think of anything we did not enjoy.

It is gorgeous and so well equipped with lots of lovely little touches to make it comfortable. Great location and lovely little garden. Full of character.

Nothing we didn’t like but would just note that the few steps up to the ground floor bedrooms are quite steep and some of the beams are quite low. All adds to the gorgeous character but worth noting the ground floor rooms are not as accessible as you might think.

Beautifully renovated cottage, very comfortable, well equipped, very quiet yet a short walk to pubs and restaurants, good WiFi, good for dogs.

Nothing I didn’t like about the cottage.

We had a wonderful weekend away at Lodge Cottage. It was the most gorgeous cottage, very peaceful, spacious, well equipped and the décor was stunning. The beautiful copper bath was an absolute bonus too and perfect for relaxing after a day’s walking around. Castleton is a lovely village and we were in a great location to walk to a selection of traditional pubs and shops, as well as being able to head out on pretty walks and an afternoon visiting the caves. We had a great stay and can’t wait to come back.

We had an amazing stay, the cottage was relaxing and comfortable with plenty of space. Lucy was very helpful when it came to us choose places to go and checking we had everything we needed when we arrived. The location is perfect right in the centre of Castleton which has plenty of things to do and places to explore. Would absolutely recommend Lodge Cottage to anyone who wants to visit the Peak District.
