"A perfect place for food, drinks and stay."

10.0

The Drew is a fantastic establishment. 5 mins off the A30 you will find a pub that is well worth the visit. The pub sits in a beautiful square thats reminds us of villages of old. A truly picturesque spot on the edge of the moors. The Drew itself is a stunning building with its thatch roof and quaint seating outside, it really is a lovely place to be. Once inside you will be welcomed by the landlord, Simon who is nothing short of fantastic. A small hatch invites a look, no bar here, just an open space that sells wonderful local ales, ciders and spirits. My friends and i worked our way down the list of ales and enjoyed them all. (hic) If you are luck enough to stay for dinner, the food here is excellent and terrific value for money. 3 x Fish and chips were quickly devoured. We stayed till closing and really had a great time. Simon, gave us the grand tour of the whole place and it really is a warren of rooms and spaces, with some great function rooms that were once a big part of the local community. Now used occasionally for event, clubs, meetings etc. Simon even stayed a while to have a drink with us, telling us stories and more about the history of the Drew. We stayed in the bunkhouse, which was perfect for our needs and after a good nights sleep left in the morning. The Drew is simply too good to miss, if you have the chance to spend a few hours or more here, do it. Thanks again to Simon, the cornish boys will be back!

The place is perfect, nothing could be bettered.

Well-situated, warm, rustic and welcoming.

Maybe being able to make a cup of tea would have been helpful.

"Such a great pub"

10.0

One of the most friendliest pubs I've ever stayed at, from the staff n customers, everyone was so helpful n chatty. Excellent pub, wish it was my local! Great food too, and excellent choice of beers. Nice having my own front door to the room.

Only a minor point, but the pub wasn't open Sunday night and all day Monday (along with some other local places) but managed to work round this and all was well. However, if you're on foot, hiking, then getting something to eat could be a problem on a Monday.

"What a fantastic place to stay!"

10.0

I spent a couple of nights in one of the extremely comfortable bunk rooms - perfect for a good night of sleep after a long day of walking. The pub is beautiful and atmospheric, the food was tasty - I had lunch and dinner - and Simon and Simon couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful! Thank you so much - hope to be back soon!

Great pub. Basic but very good facilities. If you’re wanting a night at the pub and don’t want to drive home then it is fab, same if you’re doing the 2 moors way.
