Reka Vik

Reka Vik was idyllic. The cottage was very comfortable, and tastefully finished to a high standard. The location was perfect - private yet not isolated, and with amazing triple aspect views. We loved watching the NorthLink ferry coming around Hoy and passing the window on its way into Stromness.

The property is situated in an idyllic location with lovely uninterrupted sea views and over to the island of Hoy. Warm and cosy on the wet and windy days with plenty of outdoor space to sit when the weather improved.

Reka Vik is beautiful! It is clean, very comfortable, well equipped and cosy, with a fantastic view! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The house has been finished to a high standard and has everything you could need. The area is quiet and very scenic. Good parking facilities and excellent location near Stromness. Short, easy drive to shops and the ferry terminal.

Everything was perfect!

The property is beautiful and in a spectacularly beautiful spot. I never tired of just looking at the view over Scapa Flow from the living room window. The owners went above and beyond, driving us into Stromness to the local Co Op to buy food on our first evening since we had arrived too late to collect our hre car. The cottage was spotless, gorgeously rennovated and very cosy. It was an ideal base for visiting all the wonderful historic sites around the island. We can't recomend highly enough.

There was really nothing that i can think of that could be improved upon.

It took us a little while to find the apartment even though the landlady sent us very detailed instructions in advance. The location of the house and the views were a pleasant surprise. When we opened the door we fell in love with this apartment. Equipped with everything necessary to provide a comfortable stay, it is tastefully decorated.

An indoor clothesline can be useful.

Dawn met us at the property and welcomed us, explained the heating system etc. We really liked the fact the handover was personal and we were made to feel very welcome.
