There really was a lot of space, especially for Japanese standards, so perfect for my tall partner who could finally stretch. We also enjoyed the big TV, although we had some problems connecting to streaming apps. We did not meet the owner but had some friendly interactions, and we found that the people from Oita are very kind and helpful. Great experience!
It was a bit difficult to find the place because there were no indications of the Roxy Inn at the entrance of the building, only once you walked up to the fourth floor. Lost in the rain with a huge suitcase, we got some help from friendly locals, so thankfully, it was not stressful at all.

Spacious apartment on a smart, pedestrianised street in the centre of Oita (so-called 5th Avenue). Nice to have space after cramped business hotels.
It would be good if tea and coffee were provided.The bathroom is a bit basic.

Very spacious compared to many places in Japan. Bed and lounge was comfortable. The door divider blocked the noise that sometimes came from the downtown area streets
Could use some bowls in the kitchen for rice/breakfast cereal
