Rhapsody in Blue

The boat was in a great location for Thorpe Park and a quirky idea rather than a hotel has we were celebrating my Daughter’s 18th birthday

The boat didn’t feel as clean as it should have been, there were lots of cobwebs everywhere inside and outside of the boat The pictures were very misleading and I didn’t realise when booking that there wasn’t actually a shower on the boat and we would have to use the shower block Also in the bunk bedroom there was a very musty smell and what I can only describe as like a black mould in the wardrobe. I just feel the whole place looks tired.

Well equipped and in a great location. Simon was a fantastic host and was there to meet us on arrival to help us settle in. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Boat was in a good location , near to restaurants , pubs etc Boat was very clean throughout , spoke to owner who organised a phone call with the cleaner to meet me there to show me around. Nice marina , nice and peaceful after a days work

Beautiful location. Perfect for Thorpe Park. Great communication from owner and was great showing us around. Chilled atmosphere and well needed after hectic day.

Only stayed the one night. Didn't experience anything negative

The location for us was perfect! We had just been to Thorpe park, and the property was literally situated on the same roundabout as the entrance to Thorpe park, and took around 5 mins to walk. The actual marina was really quiet and peaceful, and all the people living there were super friendly. Simon was really helpful in helping us find the place, and was a really accommodating host! The boat itself was really clean, and more spacious than anticipated. There was sky tv in literally every room, as well as plenty fans, heaters and speakers where you could use your own Spotify. It was easy to order food to the property, and there was a kitchen if you would rather cook. The shower block was a short walk, and was very clean, with Individual bathrooms for more privacy, rather than stalls.

The property is a unique experience and the location is superb, we really enjoyed watching the planes go overhead and the peaceful atmosphere in the marina. Having sky tv was a big bonus with our teenagers, and using the separate bedrooms for them was very kind of the owners.

The boat could be superb with just a little bit of tlc. It was quite dirty, I expected spider webs as I saw the spiders at work on the evening but the ones that were present were obviously weeks old as they had dust and feather caught in them, the deck was covered in little black hairs next to the sun beds and could’ve done with a sweep and wash down. The roof terrace had a bird nesting, I feel that if the boat was maintained better then the owner would’ve known the bird was there and this could’ve been dealt with before the boat was rented out or we could’ve been told that the roof was off limits and offered some money back. The kitchen is well stocked with amenities but again quite dirty, the frying pan had lots of long blond hairs caught around the handle and the cups had old coffee stains in them so we had to wash everything before use. The bedroom are comfortable, and Simon let us use all of the rooms with our teenagers. Simon is very helpful and did try to deal with the bird once I’d told him it was there, he then informed me that they’d RSPCA would be attending the next day.

Great fun. A lovely, spacious boat in a great location.
