"Comfy, great location and great value"

10.0

Lovely decor, comfy beds, everything we needed. Was very close to two very nice pubs, a lively little shop and the ferry to Falmouth was no more than 100m from the front door.

Parking can be tricky

非常绝佳的地理位置,出门就是海滩。房间非常的舒服,精心的设计。卫生间非常的干净。

沙发床有待改善,睡了一晚上腰酸背疼。

"Flushing is a beautiful Cornish fishing village, with a serene and peaceful ambience. Great pubs, village shop, and walk"

Superb decor, clean, functional

The seagulls! 😉 Bring earbuds if you’re a light sleeper. Seriously, nothing to complain about

"Great - thanks"

Very very stylish

Couldn’t find the bread knife, a shame because the village shop has Stones sourdough bread fresh every morning.

"Good quality accommodation, well managed."

8.0

We really enjoyed being able to leave the car and walk straight from the door.

If the house had a view it would be perfect but it's only a stone's throw to the water.

"Spacious house in the centre of Flushing"

8.0

Situated in the heart of flushing a 2 min walk to the flushing ferry and the Harbour House for breakfast or dinner. Lovely large main bedroom with King bed and plenty of wardrobe space. Bath and separate shower in a gorgeous bathroom. Large entrance hallway and well equipped kitchen. Flushing beach is a 15 min walk up the road. Although the house doesn’t have a view other than the road, a 2 min walk one way brings you to the wall outside the Harbour house with views over the bay and there are picnic tables by the ferry point which are a lovely place to have an evening picnic overlooking the water.

The skimmed unpainted plaster walls in the lounge made it feel unfinished and a bit dusty. The property was too simply furnished. I know the Scandi vibe is intentional. We were there for a glorious week in May, not sure how cosy it would feel in the winter, although there is a log burner. A few seat cushions for the outside table would be helpful. As others have said, parking can be a problem. Top tip: don’t arrive as the kids are coming out of school as you stand no chance of finding a space. Either come earlier in the day and explore, or park your car by the ferry where there are a few pay and display bays at the far end and move the car later.

"Good location, some nice features but some which were not great."

6.0

Location was fine, close to the ferry to Falmouth and local pubs and a few doors away from the local store which had fresh bread pastries and the papers delivered every morning and was reasonably priced with friendly staff. The house was large with a separate comfortable sitting room and separate dining room to the kitchen. Front bedroom was large and plenty of wardrobe space and mirrors and hairdryer. Bathroom was large with shower and bath and kitchen had good fridge/freezer and enough cutlery and china. Bath robes were provided which was a nice touch.

Initial impression was good, however it soon became apparent that aesthetics and a certain quirky "vibe" had been given a higher priority than functionality. The stairs had been painted and were therefore very noisy and creaky and the paint was worn, some carpet and underlay would have helped . The curtains in the bedrooms and front room were half a metre too long and piled up on the floor making it hard to close without standing on them-Why? The floor in front bedroom had original floorboards which didnt look great with a large rug under the bed instead of on a walking area-why? and the central weird paper lampshade and bedside lighting was very low and gloomy. The back bedroom was small and had 2 singles which when joined to make a large double left almost no room for anything else with 1 wardrobe unusable and no where to put anything. The bathroom had an opaque/see through??? sliding door which on opening or closing swung out as it was light with no bottom runner. The bath was situated in front of the window ,visible to neighbours and the half curtain didnt quite cover the window. The shower had 1 small side panel rather than a cubicle, and no slant to the drain so almost impossible to avoid the floor getting wet and as it had a pebble design so the water got stuck in between the pebbles and was also not great to walk on without slippers. The kitchen functioned fairly well apart from the oven which when turned on and heated up and then opened bellowed out smoke as the inside was covered in layers of burnt fat. The central heating had no instructions and was set to an "ambient" temperature so despite trying to get it to work when the inside temperature was 14C in the evening we couldnt turn it on.

Great beds, sofa and dining area, bathroom lovely.

Bigger hooks for hanging coats-they were small so tricky to get coat on. Very wet weather so required. A few light bulbs didn't work. There is a protruding nail in double bedroom I found in bare feet. A shoe rack would be beneficial in hall corridor.
