Top Step Cottage

Very central to the beach and town, as soon as you walk into the property, it smelt clean. It was cosy, the sofa and chairs were comfortable and not hard. Beds were comfy, everything you needed was in the kitchen and was spotless. Cake was a nice touch. I have stayed in quite a few properties in Aldeburgh and this is one of the best.

Not a lot to dislike. If I had to be really fussy, a plug near the mirror would be handy or a mirror near the plug for drying your hair.

Great little place! Every little detail had been thought of, including fresh flowers, milk in the fridge and cake for when we arrived. Really well-equipped kitchen with lots of cutlery - (including soup spoons - that's a first!), crockery, glasses, pans, even clingfilm, washing powder tabs, and a measuring jug! Little table in the room, too! Lovely lounge with sofa and 2 arm chairs - the chairs were really comfy! Great to have a separate toilet and bathroom! Great to have a shower AND a bath! Really clean and bright with a heated towel rail - a real bonus! Bedrooms were well furnished with plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. Spare blankets and towels if needed. Everything is spotlessly clean, and so well thought out.

We found the bed a little firm, but got used to it and slept fine after a couple of nights. Some people may find the stairs a little tricky - they're quite steep as they go across the house, as is the way with many old houses. We were fine, as we have the same set-up at home.
