It was so comfortable & the decor was great. Had a meal in the restaurant which was really good, lovely atmosphere.

Beautiful pub and rooms. Very friendly and helpful check in. Beautiful rooms. Very clean and the decor was stunning. Soap, shampoo and conditioner all smelt amazing. Excellent food and drink. Very comfortable bed and pillows - slept amazing!

There wasn’t much parking so had to park out on the road. We pre rang and asked if they had an iron as going to a wedding and they said they did, however when we got there they did not. Loved the kitchen outside the room, although the pastries weren’t great where had been left over night. Nothing huge, small teething problems which could make more value for money. However overall had a great stay and would stay again.

Very stylish refurbishment of a small village pub providing a suite of bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen.

Traffic noise, very hot rooms (all south facing), tv only on request, Wi-Fi not working and mobile signal weak. Breakfast not provided, just some croissants to eat with the coffee you make yourself in the morning and restaurant food only Thursday to Sunday.

The room was very clean & very comfortable particularly the bed. The bathroom was exceptional and the toiletries were amazing. Staff members were very cheerful, helpful & professional. Decor throughout very good

Shared coffe/tea making area (although this is just personal as I wasn't comfortable popping out to make a cuppa in my nightie once I heard that the occupants of other room were up!), some cups and plates were chipped. Pillows were very hard which isn't my personal preference. Most dissapointing was the breakfast (stale pastries due to being cold and put out the day before)- this isn't the White Lion's fault they clearly state on their information sheets that they do not offer breakfast but offer complimentary pastries, whereas Bookings.com state that breakfast is included which raises expectations. Hot room which means having to open windows next to a quite busy and noisy road. Gutted that the rooms are not pet friendly we would definitely return if we were able to take our dogs next time.
