loved the room (single room) quiet and just right - just the bed see bed comment ..

to me , the bed was a bit short (single room) but then again i am quite tall... 1m86cm

All of the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was supremely comfortable. The food was good and nicely presented. It was in a very convenient location for Rutland, Oakham and Uppingham. All interesting places to visit.we had a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Some storage for clothes would have been helpful. If we had been using the second room for children we could not have kept our suitcases on the beds and lifting them each day would have been very difficult. I am sure a couple of sturdy chests of drawers could have been placed in the room instead of the shelves and a couple of hooks on a wall with coat hangers so a dress or a suit could be hung up would be sufficient. An eaves room is warm and a little refrigerator would have been a life changer to keep the bottles of water provided cold. As an elderly couple we did find using the stairs each day without a bannister rail challenging. In future I would request a ground floor room. The food was good but a little variety day to day on the menu would have been nice. I would have preferred to have a fresh fruit salad available at breakfast rather than whole apples and bananas.

"A cosy and welcoming night away"

It has a lovely cosy feel, really easy to check in and staff were so welcoming. We slept really well, the bed was comfortable and a fan in the room was welcome in the warm weather. It was good value for money, and they even had dairy free options which was great to see.
