Zalkar Yurt Camp

Very nice yurt camp by the Son Kul lake, in the nature. Very nice, quiet, natural area full of horses around. Amazing place to stay and take a horse ride. Yurt was nice and clean, equiped simple, but just accordingly, warm in the night - good blankets and fire heating. There is no showers and wifi, but you do not need it at this place…good change from the western luxury. Food was very good, we took horse riding and staff was very nice.

Lovely yurt camp at Son Kul Lake. Super friendly family who were very helpful. Dinner and breakfast were amazing and super extensive. Yurts were big and comfortable, if cold they can heat it up at night. Beautiful sunset and nice wooden seats to read a book. Definitely recommend!

A very nice “local” yurt camp! We were the only tourist amongst only local Kyrgyz people. The location is just perfect, beautifully located next to the water and not too many yurts. We were 2 in a yurt for 5 people making it a bit cold at night but for the rest it was a great experience!

A very beautiful and atmospheric place — perfect if you want to escape the hustle and bustle. The yurts were cozy and had been preheated for us, which was a nice touch. For me, it was a wonderful opportunity to take a horse and gallop freely around the area. If you’re not an experienced rider, you can also go with a guide. The food was decent, and there’s a spot where you can take a bath too.

Imagine: yurts near the lake in the middle of nowhere, super nice people, cozy meals. Zalkar Yurt camp was our best accommodation in Kyrgystan. Yurts are comfortable, food is good and family is super welcoming <3

We highly recommend it to everyone 😊 Zalkar yurt camp is located in a beautiful and quiet place with a beautiful view of the lake on one side and the pastures and hills on the other. The facilities of the camp are nice and we had enough privacy and space to contact with other people. The yurt itself was beautiful, big, the beds were comfortable and in the evening the stove was lit and it was warm all night long 🤩Breakfast and dinner were very good and the hostess, Asel, was the best hostess- nice and warm 😊 Staying in this camp was a balm for the soul! Thank you Asel !
