One Bedroom Apartment in Adderley Street

Spacious and good location. TV had Netflix etc

No hot water for the entirety of the week. Small hob in kitchen didn’t produce enough heat to cook anything.

It has hot water and a functioning lift.

The bathroom has mould. The apartment was generally dirty. Dirty curtains, couch, the pillows and even our bedding 💔 The swimming pool also dirty. The fridge wasn’t functional and had a bad odour so we couldn’t buy stuff to keep in the fridge. We were told a new fridge will be delivered but till our check out no fridge was delivered. We had booked for 3 nights and expected room service but we were told room service is for people who have booked more than 8 nights meaning we had to use the same towels for 3 nights. Yet we were charged an extra amount of R700 by booking.com for this apartment for “cleaning service “ but no cleaning service was provided during our stay. It got worse this morning when checking out, we were expected to check out at 10:00 but the cleaning lady came into the room unexpectedly at 09:45 to clean the room. We told her we still have 15 minutes can she please wait for us to finish and her response was absolutely ridiculous. She chose her own way and started cleaning in our presence.

I could not find the light switch for the one bathroom, thus it was on the whole night

The accommodation was thoughtfully designed. It's fully equipped, comfortable, and situated in a fantastic spot.

Unfortunately, the property management company doesn't take good care of the apartment. According to the description, you can't access the garage upon arrival because you don't have a chip. No one will come to help you without a prior phone call. There is a big hole in the bathroom ceiling, which wouldn't be a problem if the upstairs apartment didn't leak sewage directly into the bathroom. The manager claimed upon handover that everything was fixed, and they were just waiting for a company to repair the ceiling. It was a lie. At least 4 times a day, we had the bathroom flooded with sewage. Additionally, the light in the bathroom can't be turned off, so you have to cover the bathroom door with a towel to avoid being woken up by the light at night. I'm writing this review to the apartment owner so that they can reconsider who manages their property. The apartment is great, but nobody takes care of it or the guests. Oh, and you can't access the rooftop pool either. We tried twice. None of the keys fit, and the phone at the reception is broken.

There was so many things wrong in the apartment. The location was very central .

When I checked in there was a whole In the ceiling in the bathroom . I’ve advised the staff that I cannot live like that and nobody came out to fix the ceiling . Communication from staff was very bad. The bathtub was blocked, the water was taking time to run out . The table top and chairs was very dirty when I checked in. So disgusting . I wouldn’t recommend anybody to book this apartment . It was horrible .
