Fantastic host! Family home vibes made it super comfortable as a solo traveler it was just perfect. Mayana helped organise taxis, tours, and showed me how to make Tahitian raw fish. Bed is comfortable in a clean room with clean bathroom which I had private use of. Enough warm water and good water pressure. Use of the kitchen is great and stocked with everything you need. I’ve travelled from Aotearoa to visit Taputapuatea and Mayana made sure I had the opportunity to visit in the right way.

No hot water for shower, basin or to wash dishes Shower dirty and hand held nozzle only No bedroom screens and many mosquitoes,. Repeated application of repellent required if you have any allergic reaction to mosquito.

Mayana was very nice and welcoming host, we really enjoyed event at school she invited us to. She was extremely helpful, talkative but we had a lot of privacy too - perfect balance. Our room was clean, private bathroom spacious and comfortable. We had also yummy breakfast. We loved the cats too, and spending time in the common terrace.

There was not a lot of space to operate in the kitchen (would be handy to have one shelf just for us) and it could be a bit cleaner in this area. The location is also not the best if you don't have a car, but it was very nice that we got a lift to the airport and that we could do the early check-in.
