Nice big room, great selection in the minibar, great location, surprisingly quiet, comfy bed

The water pressure wasn't great and I was disappointed by the food

Great location for our needs, loved the large bath and shower and comfortable bed. The room was surprisingly spacious.

It wasn’t as clean as it should have been. There was a lot of dust in the bedroom on the skirting boards, dado rails, picture frames and marks on the walls - not scuffs - it looked like someone had make up on their hands and had wiped their hands on the walls! Very strange, considering the paint work is dark blue I am surprised this has been missed. I had cleaning wipes with me and wiped some of the marks and they came off, so it is simply a case of someone overlooking this. There was also some dust visible on the ceilings and near the bathroom fan. I just feel the hotel needs a good deep clean and perhaps some filters replaced.

The food and staff at Horts Townhouse are outstanding. The staff are friendly and down to earth. The breakfast sublime. I ordered too much on the first morning (just because it was all so delicious). We also had dinner there and the local regional food is just great. We had fresh local asparagus in season.

Poached eggs were hard and coffees took ages to arrive!

Lovely decor, clean room, comfortable bed - staff dropped our bag in our room as we were late for a wedding - great service

The wait for breakfast was a little long as they were short staffed but it was tasty when it arrived

The rooms were very nice, great shower, comfy beds, well stocked mini bar, lovely shower gel and products.

It's a pub with good rooms so not your usual Mr & Mrs Smith hotel. No dedicated residents space. Outside space was dirty with glasses rarely collected, full.ashtrays etc. Breakfast was average, poached eggs overcooked, staff nonchalant. Usually stay at Hotel du Vin but thought I'd give this a try. Probably go back to Hotel du Vin where if feels a bit more exclusive and not just a Youngs pub with nice rooms
