The Underwood-Hale House

Very pretty, clean and conveniently located

Had to carry heavy bags up 3 narrow flights. That was a bit of a pain.

Beautiful space. They took an old beautiful house and created a very nice apartment. Despite it being on the bottom floor they were able to keep it light. Beds were comfortable, linens were comfortable. Would definitely return.

The person above us closed doors and walked around loudly. If it could be soundproofed a little more that would be great.

Great place to stay, Unique, cozy and quiet. Adequate parking.

Beautiful well-maintained Victorian building with very spacious comfortable rooms. There were a lot of beautiful antiques and pieces of art. The location, near Brown University, was perfect, and within walking distance to so many places you would want to go in Providence. There were coffee and tea makers in the room, along with a fridge and toaster. The grounds were beautiful and had places to sit and picnic.

The only thing I didn't like was that it is a purely virtual hotel--nobody greets you when you arrive and there is no option for breakfast. On the other hand, all the virtual aspects of the stay worked perfectly--the instructions were clear, all the locks worked as you would expect them to.

It was immaculate and a great location. The communication from the owner was excellent. She was easy to contact. There was coffee and tea and free laundry. Excellent location- walking to campus and walking to delicious food. Great parking option too!

Everything about of stay at the Underwood-Hale House was wonderful. The house and the grounds were beautiful as well as the apartment that we stayed in. We were so comfortable in our accommodations and enjoyed our stay very much.

Great house. Feels like an historic Bed and Breakfast! Tons of character. amazing location. I would definitely stay again.

Great location close to Browns campus however we had an awful stay.

There is no onsite staff to deal with any problems you might encounter. There was an unruly guest on our floor who had a late night party blasting music, yelling obscenities in the hallway and shouting. Walls are thin in an old house and you can hear everything. Management was completely inept in dealing with the situation as all they are willing to do is attempt to email or call the other guests rather than confront them in person. For my horrible night experience they only offered me a partial refund of $100. Typically a hotel would comp that night. Be careful staying here because you are on your own and at the mercy of whomever else is staying there.
