Residence Inn by Marriott Ocean Township

It was so nice to stay at a newer property. The entire property, inside and out, was very clean and well maintained. Our room was very comfortable. Very convenient to have a small kitchen, although we didn't cook we were able to keep beverages refrigerated with no problem Everyone that we encountered at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again the next time we travel to that part the Jersey shore.

My room was right outside the elevator which was annoying to hear the beeps and bells of the elevator each time it was used. Also, the air conditioning faces the bed and is loud like an airplane engine, volume 23 on tv not loud enough to override the noise. And I could not access the WiFi my entire stay. Otherwise, it was a nice room. Free buffet breakfast was nice too.

Wonderful property and staff

I specifically picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool. When we arrived we were told the pool was closed. It was very sad for my grandchildren.

We booked this hotel mainly for the pool, which was unavailable due to maintenance. We weren’t told in advance, and only found out at check-in—too late to change plans. If you’re booking for the pool, call ahead to confirm it’s open. Also noticed an unexplained $20 charge on my card, after the stay even though I booked through Expedia. Still unclear what it was for. On the plus side, we liked the hotel itself, staff were friendly, the room was clean, and they accommodated our child’s needs well (aside from the pool situation). Just be sure to double-check key amenities before booking. I would have given a 5 star review if it wasn’t for the pool situation.
