Lovely cottage with lots of character

The cottage was absolutely perfect, and the hosts didn't miss a single thing with this property! Really impressed and cannot wait to return! Clean, quirky, beautiful, warm & cosy, lovely location, kind welcome pack, comfortable beds, powerful shower, great facilities

Nothing, it was perfect!!

Beautiful cottage, well equipped, great kitchen. Wish I had been staying longer!

One allocated car parking space (a walk away, but no problem) and easy enough to load / unload your cases in front of the property, the location to the town - 2 minutes walk away

Hand shower attachment did not work at all and shower temperature was pre-set with instructions not to touch it, 3 radiators not working (main bedroom and 2 in the lounge), the temperature was 14 in the lounge (thermostat turned down) when we arrived so chilly and had to use the gas fire as a result, the breakfasts provided (not the owners fault) were cold, so you needed to ask for them to be sure they were hot (on all 3 occasions). For some the downstairs loo and steep stairs may be an issue (only 1 in the property) - okay for us though. Could do with a larger welcome mat inside as its a cream carpet and big door so difficult not to try and stand on it with wet shoes / boots.

Beautifully decorated and super cosy cottage, right in the centre of Bakewell. The staff are super attentive and I just can’t believe the extras. The house is super amazing value already but then you’re given a lovely welcome basket and breakfast at the cafe. Amazing!

the bathroom is downstairs, so maybe not right for people with mobility issues. the heating was broken for one of the nights of our stay, which isn’t a complaint as things happen but i feel like we could have been offered some extra blankets maybe and should have been made aware of a previous heating issue in one of the bedrooms before arriving. however he staff were great and did get it sorted and then it was the cosiest place ever!
