Olive Tree Villa

The villa has everything you need for a pleasant stay. It's a walking distance from all the beaches, there is a shop nearby and restaurants.

The boiler was malfunctioning at times and I had to call the hosts, but when they arrived it was working again.

The place offers a great combination of being very close to the beaches and busy areas while at the same time offering a quiet and relaxing space. The house has everything you need, it is simple but absolutely sufficient. The garden is a great addition that allows to stay outside most of the time, offering privacy at the same time. Especially the garden shower is a great thing in hot summer times ;-) Enough options of shade are available. The two rooms are spacious, due to warm weather garden and veranda are like additional rooms. Thoughtful and working Mosquito protections are in place, that is helpful. Nevertheless an additional protection lotion for evenings outside is a good idea. The bathroom is tiny but well done. The place was very clean, Maya was friendly, helpful and took care of us. She even changed towels and bed sheets every few days. That was unexpected and really great! Reaching the house by car requires some driving skills, the two roads are small and very steep. You will get used to that very fast. You will only need a car to explore the island, everything in Paloekastritsa is obviously better done by foot given the traffic. It is just a few minutes to walk anyway. It should be no problem to get along without a car if you come for a beach holiday, given the good bus service on the island.

The dining table inside is small and not really comfortable - but given the garden and hot whether in summer meals are taken outside anyway, so that is just fine. We had some serious issues with the shower - Maya took care of that though and found a temporary but usable solution for us. That was fine, I assume the issue will get fixed, for us it was not an issue due to the fast and friendly way Maya reacted once we mentioned it.
