Luxurious mountain retreat lodge Hunters Quay

It’s literally the cosiest prettiest place we’ve stayed yet, it’s had everything we needed as a family plus all the extras were fab. We went for a relaxing weekend and that’s exactly what we got the scenery was stunning, there were books and board games to play/read with the kids and the staff went above and beyond to make sure all our needs for the perfect stay were met.

The shower wasn’t very powerful and the high setting was either to cold or to hot had to put it in eco setting which was weak

Great customer service. Very clean cosy place, great location. Super place for dogs. I'm highly recommend this place. We will be back soon!

Everything was perfect

Fantastic cosy lodge, equipped and decorated really nicely. Very nice little touches, family and dog friendly. The hammock and egg chair went down a treat for the kids 🫶🏻 Lovely little Bbq table to use disposable bbqs. Safe decking area for our dog to enjoy the views too.

It was a nice quieter location but was a long walk to the entertainment complex. I would say I’m glad I waited till I arrived to do our food shop as the fridge/freezer box was a little small for a family for a week. There is a local Morrisons and co-op close by. No grill or baking trays for the oven 😬

Gorgeous lodge, very clean and the area is lovely. Loved that it was dog friendly. We often stay in Dunoon to visit our family there and it was probably the nicest of places we have stayed at so far. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was pleasant, though the shower itself doesn’t have the best pressure.

I think more information in the welcome pack is required, just on the property, how to work the heating system ect. There is also a ring camera which we did feel spied on whenever we entered or left the lodge, especially when we had conversations on the decking so that did put us on edge a little and unable to relax outside the cabin. Maybe owners could turn this off during guests staying?

The property exceeded our expectations. The beds were comfortable, sofa beds were great to sleep on and the bathroom was amazing. The outside area was really big and comfortable with great seating. The hanging seat was a big hit with the kids

No small detail missed.... 100% dog friendly... Location great!!! I don't often leave 5* reviews and will happerly admit to being fussy expecially arround my expectations given the price of this cabin (but then we did book over new year) but what can I say no faults found. The service pre arrival was great, the host kept in contact, gave clear direction and checking in instructions. We traveled (stupidly) in a storm and they where great at making sure we arrived OK, giving ferry advise etc. Which is defiantly worth asking about of your pay 30% more on the boat! On arrival the heating was on (much appreciated on the wet and windy day we arrived on) Inside is flawless, the small touches amazing (expecially with a young puppy 15month cocker spaniel). The small details like head torches by the front door, dog covers for the sofas (which are much more comfy then they look in the photos). The welcome guide super handy. The out side decking is dog secure which you don't often get. You are on the far side so very quiet with a great dog walk right out side the door, horses in the field oppersit and a beautiful view of the snow toped mountains. Our first night we have a storm and the cabin is secure and quiet considering the gale winds. The kitchen is fully equipped and even a little unexpected Christmas gift for us all. Will definitely be returning
