Amazing pool, location and staff

Nothing !!

Absolutely nothing. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences we have ever had. The property looked much better online than in reality.

The stay was a complete disaster from the first night. We arrived exhausted after more than 30 hours of travelling and could not rest at all because the noise isolation in this place is non-existent. Every night there were loud guests screaming, drinking, jumping in the pool area and making noise until early morning. The staff did absolutely nothing to control the situation even after complaints. The room was not clean enough, the overall condition of the property felt poorly maintained and uncomfortable, and the atmosphere was chaotic rather than relaxing. Communication with the staff was also disappointing — they were unhelpful, dismissive and clearly did not care about guests’ comfort or sleep quality. We requested to leave earlier because staying there became unbearable, but instead of trying to resolve the situation professionally, the property showed zero flexibility or customer care. This place completely ruined part of our vacation. The positive reviews honestly do not reflect the real experience we had here. We would never stay again and absolutely cannot recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful or comfortable stay in Arugam Bay.

The staff at Maccan's Village are friendly, helpful and meticulous about keeping the property and pool neat, tidy and clean. It was so good to cool off in the Pool. The location is perfect as it's close to the beach and only a short walk to the centre of Arugam Bay. Highly recommend.

Nous avons constaté un dysfonctionnement de la climatisation (nécessité de régler à 16° pour obtenir une température a peu près correcte), de plus la porte de la salle de bain se fermait avec beaucoup de difficulté. Il y était présent une odeur d'humidité. C'est pour ces raisons que nous ne mettons pas 10.
