Sea Pearl Amalfi

The location was great! Except there was a car parking business just below our balcony. If you ignore that-you can sit and enjoy the view of the waves crashing. One of the bedrooms was very large with a good bed-the other bedroom was very modest,too soft a bed, little decor and no dresser. I liked the kitchen and the washing machine as we were there for 6 nights.

The staff was rude and directions and communication very poor. The first man I texted with was curt and not friendly. Then when we arrived exhausted from our travels we got mixed messages about how to enter the apt. So we schleped over to the office to get the keys and we're chastised by the same man I had texted with Bout coming to the office.He was argumentative and insensitive not helpful. He's aid it was an easy walk to the apt. Even tho he saw we were loaded with suitcases and backpacks and 2 of us were over 60 years old. We ended up paying for a cab- right decision for us-but costly. Then we needed sheets for the pullout couch and that was an ordeal. Not enough toilet paper or towels. We were instructed to rummage through the storage closet which we were then told we shouldn't do. They need to have someone come in and clean and replace towels if there is a long stay. Also after paying over $2,400.00 I really don't appreciate being hassled to sort garbage and take out the garbage.

The location for us as a family was perfect. Just a few minutes walk to the main center and ferries. There was a public playground along that walk too. Overall, location was excellent- quiet and relaxing and only a handful of stairs to climb. Lovely hosts, easy to reach and quick to respond. Such a seamless experience with coordinating car service from the airport or other experiences as needed.

The house is old, the hot water stops in the middle of the shower and the cookie top doesn’t work well! We asked for some help, but they just sent us messages and didn’t solve our issues! Besides we receive a lot of messages from them about house care.

The location is amazing and the house is clean

Sea Pearl is large and spacious with comfortable beds and a well appointed kitchen. We visited in the summer and the flat was cool and comfortable. The location is excellent, close to everything but away from the crowds. The view in the winter should be great but in the summer the leaves on the trees restrict the view of the sea to a view of the beach, but the balcony is a great place to sit and relax at the end of the day. We were able to walk to the harbour in swimming costumes and come back for a shower. There is free swimming in the harbour, the nearby lido is closer but charges €6 for entry. A previous review commented about the waste disposal but this was easy as there are labelled bins in the alleyway. The support from the hosts was superb, giving guidance and answering questions before and during our stay.

While the flat is peaceful there was quite a lot of background noise: a steady drone of diesel engines from the bay, traffic noise from the road above, you can hear the neighbours occasionally and there is a car park just below. However the noise is rarely intrusive, the double glazing throughout shuts almost all out effectively for a good night’s sleep. The car park is lit overnight so it is never dark, but don’t expect to see the stars. A few minor omissions are no tea towels to dry the crockery, no scissors and short of spare toilet rolls.

Location, spaciousness, clean.

Very very noisy plumbing. Could hear water running all night long. Could hear upstairs walking around, shutting doors, using taps. That’s the only negative. We loved everything about it except we didn’t get a lie in or good nights sleep in the 8 nights we were there.
