The cabin was great - really nice and modern, comfy bed and great bathroom. It was perfect after a day of walking! The breakfast in the morning was really convenient too

It is a steep walk off the main queen Charlotte track so be prepared for about 10 mins of steep hill to get to the cabin.

Incredible location with lovely clean cabins, the hosts were really welcoming, beds were comfy and there were a number of kayaks, stand up paddle boards and barbecues for guests to use

Great place to stay on the Queen Charlotte Track. Few cozy cabins, a bit away from the big hiking crowd. Beautiful bay with friendly and helpful hosts. Delicious burgers for dinner.

The cabins are AMAZING! Better than many hotel rooms and apartments we stayed in. Brand new, sparkling clean and stylish! The hosts are just awesome human beings and they go extra miles to make your stay unforgettable. It was indeed an unforgettable short stay and the only thing we regret is not booking another day or two in advance.

"Luxurious cabin!"

We loved staying in our cabin at Tawa Cove - we stayed for four nights and still didn't want to leave! The cabin was beautiful, almost brand-new with a wonderful comfy bed, luxurious bathroom and everything we needed. Don and Prue are so welcoming and work really hard to look after their guests. The food is amazing and lunch packs are available for when you walk the Queen Charlotte Track. There is a very special dog named Oscar who visits regularly for pats and to hang out, while you sit on the deck with a drink and look at the view. This is a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely return.

"100% the best place in the sounds"

100% the best place to stay in the sounds. We have stayed at a lot of the other places but Tawa Cove Cabins are far superior. Extremely clean, with great ammenitys. The BBQ hamper was fantastic and the platter was epic. Prue & Don are abousetly amazing hosts, nothing is a problem & they are do friendly. Oscar the dog is also great company. The
