Hotel PVK Grand Dindigul

* Spacious room with a large bed. Wide corridors. Modern amenities. * Quiet neighbourhood - no road noise, etc * Distance from Railway Station is about 4Km - autos asked for Rs. 200 (higher side). Rs. 100 is ideal. * There is room service and a restaurant on Ground Floor. Restaurant food was good - I was able to get decent veg. choices including roti, dosa, soup, etc. * Used their recommended taxi service (taxi is in the hotel parking lot). Used services of Mr Raja and Mr Veeramani - Sadhguru Travels to go to Palani and to Kodaikanal. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

* I called the hotel 3-4 times the day before and on the day of the arrival. No one answered nor called back. I checked with the hotel at checkin whether the number was correct. It was indeed correct. But, they couldnt offer an explanation as to the lack of proper communication. * I arrived at 11.30a and they were too rigid about letting me checkin before 12noon. I told them I had traveled 7 hrs from my home; they were not considerate at all. The room was ready too. Most hotels can accommodate such a request with a manager override. * In the restaurant on Ground Floor, I saw an employee drink straight out of the water jugs meant for serving water at the tables. He did this twice and he seemed like a manager than a waiter. Very unhygienic practice. * The bucket and mug in the bathroom were dirty and had scale residue. They can surely replace these with * The TV remote required one to press very hard to change channels.

Better room service and foods

Sub standard room. The exhaust fan doesn't work in toilet despite repeated requests. The whole room stinks. TV doesn't work properly..The staff in the restaurant is dumb and untrained. They mixed up our order big time on every occasion..Housekeeping doesn't puck up calls for long. Overall frustrating experience

Every thing could have been better
