I booked on the same day I arrived. It's a fully automated place, so they have to send you an access code. They didn't so I had to call. When I got to the place, it looked sketchy. Probably student accommodation during term time. My room was off a shared kitchen. It hadn't been cleaned since the last occupant - bed unmade, trash can full etc. It was late and there are no staff at the hotel so I couldn't ask for a different room or for a cleaning service. I crashed on the unmade/unwashed bed then got out as early as I could the following morning.

The location is in the heart of Burlington near Church Street within the UVM student off campus residences.

Do yourself a favor and write your room code on the palm of your hand. You will thank yourself when you walk out of your room to pee and get locked out of it. . . . . . at 3:00 am; then have to wait for some Good Samaritan to walk out of their room to help you call some 1-800 number to reach a manager.

Steps to room were steep and too many. I should have specified. I left my bag in the lounge room that worked because not many people there.

had no elevator, stairs narrow up to three flight to get to room. no bathroom had to share a bathroom one flight down with other residents. we ended up going down to first floor with heavy bag and leaving to find another hotel. room just had a bed and nothing else.

convenient location; I suppose you get a more authentic real native experience. no private but at least it was clean

bare bones service; minimal communication- all by phone and email; had to store my bags at UPS up the street because there’s no front desk; and drag them to the place in a thunderstorm when the room was “ready”. then no key - just pray the code they sent you works. then I dragged my suitcases up the narrow quaint staircase to my room. Then I slept on a cot with very little support. and the price- $260 for one night !- for something that in my opinion is only a little better than spending the night in one’s car. obviously the tradeoff for foregoing the services and conveniences of a traditional hotel would be economical- but hey they charge what the market will bear in Burlington and not necessarily a fair price.
