Friendly Africa Room Como Center

The location was perfect. It was a five minute walk from a street full of restaurants along the water. There’s an apothecary right down the street as well as a little convenience store. It was in a quiet neighborhood too.

The walls are pretty thin meaning you can hear every little movement. I’d recommend spending the extra money and booking the top floor.

Too many mosquitoes, the main door is too narrow, and the bathroom needs renovation.

196 / 5 000 It was 30 degrees outside. It did not drop below 22 at night, so the air conditioner would have saved the night's sleep. The fan helped a little. You have to watch out for elevations in the floor, sometimes you can get a little caught.

The apartment had all the amenities one could want. No AC, but there was a fan that kept us cool all night in the summer heat. The location was good!

The host could’ve communicated better about the check in process and the parking. I had to reach out to the host to find out how to get access to the apartment when we got there. The apartment is behind a gate and not that easy to find. When making the booking I had requested a parking spot. The host told me ‘ok’, but when we got there the parking spot was occupied by other guests and I was told to look for street parking. It was a little annoying as this could’ve been clarified by the host before we arrived. In the end it worked out ok, because there was a lot of blue zones in the vicinity. It was still a little stressful to track something down when I wasn’t expecting to have to do that.

Just a few steps from the heart of beautiful Como. Excellent location to see the city or hop on the ferry and spend the day in any of the beautiful towns on Lake Como. Although the apartment was small, it had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.
