The Garnet Suite

The flat is very spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and we had all we needed. Walking distance from Co-op Live (which is what we were in Manchester for) and only a short walk away from the city centre.

Basically everything, showers great, big tv, close to town. Comfy beds except for the couch bed (could do with a bit more cushioning). Oven dishwasher and hobs worked perfectly.

Not enough loo roll, bin bags, or dishwasher tabs. Paint chipping off windows. Broken door handle into main room.

The location is perfect- walked along the canal to town then walk the other way to coop live. Great to have a kitchen with fridge and somewhere comfy to sit and chat

Unfortunately cleaning staff had left a window open so one bedroom was unusable. This was dealt with within minutes and we were moved to a different apartment. Can’t fault the service we received, would say again.

Apartment is in a great location for the city centre / Etihad campus. It’s nice, clean, spacious and quiet too. Contact leading up to the stay was excellent with clear instructions on how to enter the apartment.

Unfortunately, the apartment requires several improvements, and we were quite disappointed to find that issues highlighted in previous reviews appear to have been ignored. The main bathroom shower was freezing cold throughout the weekend. When we arrived, the Wi-Fi was completely off and, despite contacting the host, it remained non-functional during our entire stay. The ironing board is broken, and the iron is damaged—its lid is snapped off, causing it to leak water. The kettle is missing a lid and continues boiling until manually switched off. Additionally, the Velux blinds are clearly broken, and the bathroom tap is loose and falls off easily. Small things that should and could be easily rectified.

The most functional aspect of this property was its location—well-placed for easy access to the city centre. A 15-minute walk or a short two-minute tram ride from the station directly opposite the apartment block made getting around straightforward. The hosts were responsive to messages, which was expected even during the holiday weekend. However, despite their availability, they were unable to address several of the issues raised.

We booked this property with the expectation of enjoying city views, as explicitly mentioned three times in its description. However, not only were there no city views—there were no views at all. With the exception of a single window facing an internal service balcony, all other "windows" were Velux skylights, providing nothing more than a view of the sky. This fundamental misrepresentation meant the property was mis-sold, failing to meet even its most basic advertised feature. Beyond the misleading description, the apartment was in poorly maintained condition. Issues included: A leaking kitchen tap A broken tap in one bathroom A shower in another bathroom that only ran cold A badly burned kitchen worktop Flaking paint on the walls accompanied by water marks and finger marks around the Velux windows A stained carpet in one of the bedrooms A well worn sofa bed that was uncomfortable to sit on so probably not so good to sleep on (albeit we didn't try) Non-functional Velux blinds—resulting in one bedroom being dark during daylight and another flooded with light at sunrise. This apartment has the potential to be a spacious, well-located rental, but in its current state, it falls far short of expectations. Further disappointment stems from the hosts' lack of response. We raised all these concerns during, and immediately after, our stay, providing them an opportunity to address the issues before leaving an honest review. Two weeks later, we have received no reply, and the listing still falsely claims city views. Suffice it to say, disappointed is an understatement.

The apartment is spacious.

The description on booking.com mentioned that the apartment has city view. It has no view! All windows are skylights and the only "view" we had was from the kitchen in the hall of the building. Also, the shutters in one of the bedrooms were stuck open,so we were waking up at 6.00 am because of the light on our face The carpet is old and dingy and also was a lot of damage to the ceiling because of the apartment having problems with the roof apparently. The management was very slow to answer our requests.beds-not very comfortable and the beding was old and full of stains. Clean but full of stains-not very appealing. Also they have a small boiler for the warm water that heats up 3 times a day,so we couldn't all take a shower in the morning before going out I mean, for the money they ask for a night they couldat least provide enough warm water and heating.I wouldn't recommend this apartment and for sure not go back there. I would say: stay away!
